The Ethiopian regimes that have ruled in Addis Ababa since the era of feudal regime of Haile Selassie, the military junta led by the dictator Mengistu Haile Mariam and the ethnic regime of Meles Zenawi, have committed war crimes against the Eritrean people, embodied in practicing a policy of genocide, displacing the people, destroying cities, burning villages, destroying the economy, killing livestock, etc., and no apology has been offered to the Eritrean people to this day, let alone providing compensation. Today we review the book “Awna and Beskedera” by the writer Nazari Ab Azazi, which was published in December 2024. This book chronicles the tip of the iceberg of Ethiopia’s colonial and “border” war crimes against the Eritrean people.
