Distinguished Delegates,
Eritrea deeply values this informal interaction with the Sanction Committee. In this regard, I would like to thank Ambassador Rafael Darío Ramírez Carreño, Chairman of the Sanctions Committee, for giving my delegation the opportunity to address the Sanctions Committee and for facilitating constructive interaction and dialogue between my Government and the Somalia Eritrea Monitoring Group. I also appreciate the role of the United Nations Secretariat. Let me now proceed to present, very briefly, Eritrea’s views on the SEMG report.
